The Egyptian Museum is considered one of the first museums in the world that was established to be a public museum, unlike the ones that preceded it. The museum includes more than 180 thousand antiques, the most important of which are the archeological collections found in the tombs of kings and the royal entourage of the middle family in Dahshur in 1894, and the museum now includes the greatest collection Archeology in the world expresses all stages of ancient Egyptian history.
Salah Al-Din castle has defensive importance because it was in control of the cities of Cairo and Fustat, as it constituted a high barrier between the two cities. Inside the castle, you will find Mohamed Ali mosque which built between 1830 CE and 1848 CE on Ottoman style, and sometimes it called the Al-Marmar Mosque because of the frequent use of this type of marble in the cladding of its walls, which designed by the Turkish architect Yousif Boushnaq who came specially from Istanbul to build this great mosque.
